Your adventure begins the moment you arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport. A friendly representative from Akagi Experiences will greet you and arrange a comfortable, private transfer to Negombo, a charming beach town just north of Colombo. Spend your day relaxing by the beach, exploring the Dutch canals, or enjoying fresh seafood at a coastal restaurant.
Overnight Stay: Negombo

After breakfast, set off on a scenic drive to Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and oldest wildlife sanctuary, known for its natural lakes and elusive leopards. In the afternoon, embark on an exciting jeep safari through dense forests and open plains, where you might spot leopards, sloth bears, deer, elephants, and a rich variety of birds.
Overnight Stay: Wilpattu

Wake up to the sounds of nature and travel eastward to the beautiful coastal town of Trincomalee. Check into your beachside hotel and relax on the powdery sands of Nilaveli or Uppuveli Beach. Optional visits to the historical Koneswaram Temple or Fort Frederick offer stunning views of the Indian Ocean.
Overnight Stay: Trincomalee

Spend a full day at leisure. You can choose to relax on the beach, indulge in a rejuvenating spa session, or take an optional whale-watching tour (best from May to September) or a snorkeling excursion to Pigeon Island National Park — home to vibrant coral reefs and tropical fish.
Overnight Stay: Trincomalee

After breakfast, depart for Sigiriya, known for the spectacular Sigiriya Rock Fortress — a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, climb the ancient rock citadel, famous for its breathtaking frescoes, mirror wall, and the Lion’s Gate. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding jungle and countryside from the summit.
Overnight Stay: Sigiriya

Today, journey south towards the iconic Yala National Park, home to the world’s highest density of leopards. In the evening, embark on an exciting jeep safari, where you’ll have a chance to spot leopards lounging in trees, herds of wild elephants, crocodiles sunning themselves, and colorful flocks of peacocks.
Overnight Stay: Yala

After a morning breakfast, drive to the coastal paradise of Mirissa. Spend your afternoon relaxing on the golden beach, swimming in the gentle waves, or sipping a fresh coconut under the palms. Mirissa’s vibrant cafés and laid-back atmosphere make it the perfect spot to unwind after your adventures. If you wish, opt for another whale-watching tour (November–April season).
Overnight Stay: Mirissa

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely drive back to Colombo. Depending on your flight time, you can explore the city’s key attractions — such as the Independence Square, Gangaramaya Temple, and bustling local markets — or transfer directly to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight, taking back beautiful memories of your time in Sri Lanka.
